What is The Eligibility Criteria of PMA Long Course 153?

Follow the given eligibility criteria to join Pak Army PMA Long Course 153:

  • Citizens of Pakistan and domiciled in Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan can apply for PMA Long Course.
  • Only male candidates can apply.
  • Age should be between 17-22 years as on 1st May 2024.
  • Height must be 5′-4″ (162.5 cm) and weight based on Body Mass Index.
  • Candidates with minimum 55% marks in Intermediate (FA/FSC) or its equivalent
  • Graduates with 60% or more marks with 50% FA/FSc marks can apply.
  • Serving soldiers can also apply if they have passed FA/FSC or equivalent with 50% marks.
  • Candidate should be in good physical and mental condition.
  • Candidate must be medically fit.

What is the Hope Certificate?

If a student has passed Part I of the Intermediate with at least 60% marks and appear in Part II/Final Examination, the Director of the Institution may issue a Certificate of Hope.

Who is eligible for PMA long course?

The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course is a four-year training program that prepares cadets to become commissioned officers of the Pakistan Army. The course is highly competitive and only the most qualified candidates are selected.

To be eligible for the PMA Long Course, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Male citizens of Pakistan residing in any province of Pakistan including Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan.
  • Be single (married personnel serving in armed forces above 20 years are also eligible to apply).
  • Be between 17 and 22 years (with 03 months flexibility).
  • Minimum height is 5.4 inches (162.5 cm).
  • Keep a weight that is proportional to your height.
  • Passed Intermediate or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks (55% marks for candidates belonging to Azad Kashmir, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and parts of Northern Territories).
  • Be in good physical and mental condition.
  • Apart from the above eligibility criteria, candidates will also have to go through a rigorous selection process which includes a written test, a physical fitness test and an interview conducted by the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB).

What is the passing marks for PMA long course?

The passing grade for the PMA long course at the intermediate level or equivalent exam is 60%. However, candidates belonging to AJK, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, and parts of Northern Territories have been given 5% relaxation i.e. they have to clear the Intermediate exam or its equivalent to be eligible for the long course of PMA. Brands are required.
